Pictures from Barcelona

These pictures were taken in Jan 2011, when we visited Barcelona. It was pretty cold that time of the year.
All the main attractions in the city are well connected by Bus or Metro. Don't miss the Guell Garden, It was my most favorite place in Barcelona.

The forest of Blue bells/ Halle Forest/ Hallerbos, Belgium

The most enchanting place I have ever visited. Peace quiet and serene.
Great place to take a walk on a bright sunny spring afternoon in late april. Its just like a fairy land with a magic blue carpet. If you are in the vicinity (around Belgium) in the month of April , don't miss out on this great forest, but check out the official website for the exact dates when the blue bells are in full bloom, before planning for a trip.

Source : Wikipedia
The Hallerbos (Dutch for Halle forest) is a forest in Belgium, covering an area of 552 ha (1,360 acres). It is mostly situated in the municipality of Halle, in Flemish Brabant.

Map of the Hallerbos
The forest is known in the region for its bluebell carpet which covers the forest floor for a few weeks each spring, attracting many visitors.[1][2]

Here is the translated link for the official website:

There is bus that leaves the Halle station on weekdays to the forest at regular intervals. Please checkout the timings in the website.

Enjoy the pictures!

Tulips from Keukenhoff - Holland Part 2

April 2009,

Another set of Pictures from Keukenhoff. We missed the field this time as we went by the last week of April. It depends on the season so always check the official website for timelines for that particular year before you plan a trip. Enjoy this virtual treat.

Tulips from Keukenhoff - Holland Part 1

April 2011.

Keukenhoff is the Tulip garden of the world. The gardens were absolutely amazing , they were neatly arranged and the colour combination was breathtaking. Its ideal to visit the gardens by 2nd week of April when the flowers are in full bloom. We went there twice during our three year stay in Belgium. Loved every bit of it. These pictures were taken with our regular sony cybershot camera.

Will post some taken more pictures taken with the DSLR when we visited the same place couple of years back in 2009.
