Acadia National Park. Maine

We made a trip to this beautiful national park and absolutely enjoyed every bit of it. I did a bit of research to identify the kids friendly trails in the park and did a lot of hiking for two days. If you are not into hiking then I would there not much of sight seeing in here.
The three most beautiful spots I liked in this trip :
Bass Harbour Lighthouse:
We are big time fan of Lighthouses, I don't know why but we are attracted to its serene beauty. Although we planned to visit a couple of them in the national park area, we were able to make it upto only the BASS harbour light house. If you are planning to visit this anytime, do not forget to get down to the rocks, from the trail that starts from left side of the lighthouse. The view from the rocks down is absolutely stunning

Bubble rock trail:

The most exciting trail with a wsome elevation. My kid thoroughly enjoyed the Hike. It about 1 mile round trip. We took about an hour to complete it. The most exciting part is to see the bubble rock at the tip. Nature at its best.

View from top of the bubble:

Ocean ridge trail:

Amazing view of the ocean with magnificient rocky cliffs. The trail takes you along the ocean ridge with beautiful view points. better to take this trail during sunset than in the hot sun.

The other interesting activities and places

View from Cadillac mountain: A must see place. never wanted come back down from the top pf the cadillac.

Jordon pond house trail:

Jordan stream trail :
A nice quite trail into the woods, but the signs were not very clearly marked with miles, was little confusing for us. Didnt like the Maine mosquitoes in this trail that gave us a hard time and made us realize that we forgot the insect repellant.

Bubble pond:

A great place to have a picnic or quite lunch. Dont forget to pack some sandwiches, as there are no retaurants except jordan pond house, which is pretty crowded during the peak season.

And last but not the least, the Carriages of Acadia. It was wonderful experience.
But we found it hard to get the directions to the exact place from where the rides start. The address in the website seems to be misleading and no where is the signs for the this site, unless we actually get near the place. Although we booked the tickets over phone, we missed the ride as we got lost looking for the starting point.Luckily we got the tickets for the next day.If anyone is interested to take this ride when you are in Acadia, please look for Wildwood stapples.
